Prof Stephen Jolles

Dr Jolles is a Consultant Clinical Immunologist and Honorary Professor at the University Hospital of Wales and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales. He is Clinical Lead in the Immunodeficiency Centre of Wales and Co-Director of the Hub Immunology Diagnostic Laboratory of Wales and Adult Clinical Lead of the SWAN (Syndrome Without A Name) clinic. Dr Jolles trained in immunology and allergy and obtained his PhD at the National Institute for Medical Research, London. He has a particular interest in the management of primary and secondary immunodeficiency and research interests in improving diagnostics, screening tools for early diagnosis, treatment and monitoring. This work has supported national and international guidelines/policy development in complement deficiency, primary and secondary immunodeficiency, screening for antibody deficiency, hereditary angioedema, immunoglobulin therapy and covid.
